mY New studio

Here is the first look at the studio space in Philadedelphia's Fishtown, After looking for a studio space for a long time we found it. the perfect home for my creativity, I was looking for a lot's of window light for my studio and high cealing and this is just perfect. Infact there is a very intresting story the way we found it. which i will tell you guys later. Soon the cnstruction work will finish and we will be ready to party and celebrate it... Here is Aroon and Ashish fooling around...

Bronte

Today PJ and my creative team met with Bronte a fresh and new face we are about to launch, she is  full of life and ready to sail on the ship of fashion,  i cannot wait to shoot with her. we are building her portfolio book, we decided on her looks and wardrobe and the whole shoot.  and i am sure that she will make it very big.
Aroon is almost done with the new website of core productions, we are so excited to see it, hold tight, something good is about to hit the web world and photography in Philadelphia.

New Light and Field camera

The news of this new camera technology reached me over and over again today. Seems like every photographer seems incredibly excited by this new technology: A camera that lets you select focus after the fact.

This is nothing short of remarkable! If you know any photographer, especially those who shoot photojournalism you'll know that a camera's focus is probably one of the most challenging issues. This is quite a deep subject, that we all discuss a lot.

The Wall Street Journal says that "(it) will bring the biggest change to photography since the transition from film to digital". They might be right.

This really changes things.

Lytro, the company behind this new technology say that they will deliver a consumer camera later this year. Go to their website and reserve your spot now.

My Studio

Really busy with setting up of my own studios in Philadelphia, working with the best creative team, I am looking forward to the opening event planned by Isaac and Bridgette., PJ is doing great job putting everything together, I am excited about the new make up and hair team..... Happy Valentines

I thought that sharing the story of valentines day might be interesting with all of you, since it is the biggest day celebrated world over as the day of love and lovers and i am a part of it because i got married on this day.

"One of the stories beind the reasons for how Valentine's Day started comes the time of the Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, February 14th was a holiday to honour Juno. Juno was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. The following day, February 15th, began the Feast of Lupercalia.
Young boys and girls lived strictly separate lives. One of the customs was name drawing. On the eve of the festival of Lupercalia the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry.
I also thought of sharing a image of a recent bride i shot. The image was shot on location with strobe lights.

Key Terms and Concepts

Have you ever wondered what the Terms like Jpeg or CMOS and several others like these which are used in today's digital photography world stand for? Whenever I hear of a term like this I am very inquisitive to know more about it and what it stands for. So I thought there must be people out there like me who will be interested in knowing about these terms. Here a few commonly used terms”


CCD/ CMOS- Charge-Coupled Device/ Complementary Metal oxide Silicon sensor.
Digital cameras use one of these sensors to digitally record light coming through the camera lens. Digital media cards store this information, and customers can later export the data to other devices or computers.

JPEG- Joint Photographics Expert Group. A standard method of compressing photographic images. Compatible with most digital cameras, devices, and operating systems, you can identify them by the file extension ".jpg."

Fixed Focus - A lens that cannot automatically adjust its focus for objects that are very near or very far. Instead, the lens has a fixed range of focus.

HDR - Image than current photographic methods .This allows HDR images to more accurately represent the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.

PTP - Abbreviation for picture Transfer Protocol. A standard designed to transfer images from digital cameras to computers and other devices without needing additional device drivers
